UPDATED - 4/12/08 Well, this is a first for me. Maybe someone else has seen this before. I have a Google Calendar account that I like to use to keep upcoming events on, mostly personal information. I also have it setup to where I get email and SMS reminders of those upcoming items.
This morning I got a SMS with a subject of “This mail is for you.” I noticed that it was from my Google Calendar account, but had no idea what that subject meant. I left it as is and decided to check it out once I got to work.
I’ve finally got a chance to look at the information on the event and it’s completely spam. Here, take a look:

I’m use to getting these in my spam box and just ignoring them. Now I have to put up with them going to my Google events?! No way. There has to be a way to keep others from sending me invitations. Or maybe only people that I want to send, like those that are in my address book or something. I’ll go digging in the settings later and check things out.
Anything like this happen to you recently with Google Calendar Events? Did you get it to stop and if you did, how?
UPDATE: I got things set right shortly after making this post. A couple days later, I saw a link to another person that was having the same issue. Check it out if you have having the same problems.
